Executive Director - Deborah Nelson Pick
Deborah Nelson Pick is the Founder and Executive Director of Prairie Fire. She has over 30 years of professional theatre experience in the areas of acting, directing, choreography, and design. She has also worked with physically and developmentally challenged children. Originally from Wisconsin, Deborah has made her home in Minnesota since attending the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She established PFCT in 1987. Deborah oversees the artistic direction of Prairie Fire designing the sets and costumes and collaborating on the development of scripts and music.
Artistic Director - Jeremy Day
Jeremy Day was born and raised in Spencer, WI. He earned his bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theater Performance and Arts Administration in 2009 from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. Jeremy first toured with Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre in the summer of 2006 as Captain Hook in Peter Pan. Since then, he has toured with Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, A Christmas Carol, The Wizard of Oz, and Tom Sawyer. Jeremy has been involved as a Camp Director for the last 5 years including: Jack and the Beanstalk, Alladin, Pinocchio, Snow White, and Robin Hood. He previously served as the Managing Director and took over as Artistic Director in 2016.


Tour Manager - Will Rutkowski

Will grew up in Alden, NY but now calls West Columbia, SC his home. Will graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre for Youth. Before coming to PFCT, Will had performed in several productions in the Charleston area, one of his favorites Peter and the Star Catcher. Will started touring with PFCT in the Summer of 2017 and has since toured in productions of Alice in Wonderland, A Christmas Carol, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Peter Pan, Robin Hood, and Tom Sawyer. He now is stepping into the role of Tour Manager, coordinating with all our tour teams, assisting with script and music creation, costuming, hiring, and assisting in our summer camp. Will is excited to start this new adventure with PFCT!
